1945

On August 31th, 1945 people's commissariat for transport routes issued a warrant to build a mechanical bridge plant in Kremenchug.
1946

The first brick was laid in the plant foundation. Over the subsequent 8 years the bridge plant has produced about 600 bridges with the total length of about 27 km mounted on the Dnieper, Moscow, Dniester, Volga and Daugava rivers etc.
1956

Since 1956 the plant has been manufacturing corn combines and other farming machines. The Kremenchug combine plant has produced 11 thousand agricultural machines over two years of its existence.
1958

On April 17th, 1958 the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union decreed to build up a plant for heavy-duty vehicles production in Kremenchug. Heavy-duty trucks manufacture was transferred from the Yaroslav automobile plant.
1959

On April 10th, 1959 the first two KrAZ-222 dump trucks were assembled from the imported units and components.
1961

In 1961 the plant delivered for export more than 500 hundred vehicles in 26 countries of the world - Argentina, Afghanistan, Bulgaria, China, India, Vietnam etc.
1971

On January 22th, 1971 the pant was awarded the Order of Lenin for completion of five-year plan ahead of schedule and successful development of trucks new models.
1976

On January 15th, 1976 the Ministry of automobile industry ordered to establish the production association "AvtoKrAZ".
1979

The maximum vehicle output per a worker - 1.66 items - was reached. Even in the subsequent years this index remained the highest one among USSR automobile plants of heavy-duty trucks manufacture.
1980

On December 14th, 1980 the Kremenchug automobile plant was honoured with the Vietnamese Order of the People's Friendship for Vietnam aiding.
1986

In 1986 the output rate amounted to 30655 KrAZ vehicles - the maximum quantity over the period of its existence.
1991

KrAZ management took a decision to establish Foreign Trade Firm KrAZ on the basis of export subdivision.
1993

The plant was marked with international awards: the Arch of European International Star, the European Prize for Quality.
1994

The Kremenchug automobile plant was registered as Open Joint Stock Company.
1996

Holding company "AvtoKrAZ" was registered.
1999

Start of privatization. HC "AvtoKrAZ" block of stock was purchased by a joint Ukrainian-German enterprise "Mega-Motors".
2002

HC "AvtoKrAZ" Trade House was founded.
2003

HC "AvtoKrAZ" launched assembly plants in Russia and Vietnam.
2004

HC "AvtoKrAZ' signed one of the biggest contracts for delivery of 2200 KrAZ vehicles to Iraq. The quality control system of international standard 9001:2000 was introduced at the plant.
2006

In January the 800 000-thousandth KrAZ truck was assembled at the plant main assembly line. In October of the same year HC "AvtoKrAZ" won the first prize among 100 Ukrainian companies with the best rate of development according to the net profit growth pursuant to the results of rating "Top 100.
