JSC "Ship-building yard "Zaliv" is one of the leading ship-building enterprises on the territory of the Eastern Europe that has two processing lines for ships construction: building ways with 2300 t capacity and dry dock with length of 360 m and width of 60 m.

The enterprise production includes the supertanker "Crimea", the first in the world environmentally friendly tankers of "PANAMAKS" type with double sides, the nuclear transport icebreaking ship "Sevmorput'", military ships, such as a flagman of the Ukrainian Navy - a big submarine-hunting ship "Hetman Sagaidachniy".

The plant constantly enlarges the range of ships types in terms of construction and repair, and at present apart from prior construction of tankers-food products carrier is engaged in building of chemical tankers, container carriers, drilling platforms for oil and gas extraction. The required fitting, technical capabilities enable to advance constantly the ship-building and -repair - up to 3-4 bodies of dry-cargo ships and container carriers are build, and up to 35 ships of various classes are repaired annually. 100% of products and services are exported to Holland, Spain, Great Britain, Norway, Russia, Rumania and other countries.

All stages of ships construction are modernized and provide for the European level and quality. In 2002 the classification society "BUREAU VERITAS" certified successfully the enterprise quality control system in compliance with the International Standard ISO 9001:2000. Leading classification societies (LR, GL, BV, DnV) have issued their approval certificates with regard to the technology processes applied during ships building and repair.
