Ukrainian Army's truck fleet has been replenished by new KrAZ vehicles

Holding Company "AvtoKrAZ" handed over the first lot of 15 KrAZ-6322 off-road vehicles to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

All in all according to the contract concluded between the Ministry of Defense and HC "AvtoKrAZ" the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be supplied with 57 KrAZ-6322 vehicles.

The vehicles have been developed in accordance with the military operational requirements of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Vehicle prototypes were produced in 2007. The state commission consisting of the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces and HC "AvtoKrAZ" representatives carried out 5-month state tests under heavy conditions on the specified route in different regions of Ukraine. The vehicles overcame over 15 000 km of both asphalt concrete roads, as well as earth and sand roads. All the vehicles passed the state tests successfully and the state commission recommended them for passing into service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Mr. Vladimir Grek, the Head of the Weapons and Military Equipment Development and Procurement Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, thanked the automobile plant workers while accepting the keys of new vehicles and distinguished a high quality of the Kremenchug automobile plant production.

Mr. Vladimir Grek stressed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are obtaining a perfect modern automotive equipment which has successfully passed state tests under heavy road and weather conditions and has done itself justice.

Colonel Sergey Kotlyar, the Head of Logistics and Supporting force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Command, also took part in the solemn ceremony and noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine enumerated about 4.500 KrAZ vehicles.
