KrAZ has gained the affection of SOFEX-2008 attendees

The Holding Company "AvtoKrAZ" took part at the Special Operations Forces Exhibition (SOFEX), held from the 31st of March till the 3rd of April in Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under the auspices of the King Abdullah II and with the assistance of Jordanian armed forces command.

SOFEX is one of the largest special equipment and arms demonstration areas in the Middle East and North Africa region and it takes part twice a year. Over 300 firms participated in its work in 2008. 70 official delegations from 56 countries visited the exhibition.

The Holding Company "AvtoKrAZ" together with the company "Anham", its official dealer in the Middle East which is well known in the region, exhibited the KrAZ-6322 (6x6) all-terrain vehicle. It has load capacity of 12 t and is equipped with 350 h.p. Deutz engine and Allision gearbox.

In the automotive engineering sector there were exhibited mainly all-wheel drive multifunctional armored vehicles with load capacity up to 1 t. The automotive engineering of the heavy class was represented, besides the HC "AvtoKrAZ", by such famous manufacturers as Oshkosh Truck Corporation, Ashok Leyland, Steyr.

Among all the six-wheeled heavy trucks only KrAZ and Steyr demonstrated their capability on the SOFEX proving ground. KrAZ truck successfully passed all the difficult obstacles and was approved by the audience. KrAZ occurred to be the only truck of the test run which got an ovation of exhibition attendees.

Military attaches, officers of state, representatives of business ?lite and security forces took a tender interest in the HC "AvtoKrAZ" production.

The HC "AvtoKrAZ" delegation led by the General Director Sergey Sazonov held talks and work out accommodations for KrAZ vehicles promotion, expansion of the company presence on the Middle East market, upgrading of the previously supplied vehicles and increase of spare parts supply.
