New capabilities for builders

A new truck crane by the Yurgin machine-building plant KC-65720 has appeared. It is based on the automobile chassis KrAZ-63221 (6x6) and has 40 tons payload. State acceptance tests have been successfully carried out and large-scale production has been launched.

The new crane corresponds to modern requirements and has a range of advantages. Being within the class of 40-tons cranes KC-65720 is capable to operate as 50-tons cranes due to its high load-altitude performance.

The truck crane on KrAZ chassis possesses good maneuverability, high cross-country ability and stability, efficiency and reliability. KrAZ bonnet-type cabin facilitates access to engine servicing when the boom is folded and lowered into transport position, enables to make fastening of the hook in the front part of the vehicle easier and more reliable. When the engine technical maintenance is carried out, there is no need to shift the crane boom aside that provides for the driver additional comfort unlike similar vehicles with forward-control type cabin.

The crane is equipped with 4-section telescopic boom made from high-strength steel and transportable extender with special device that enables to change the rope direction and the crane service area, lifting height of the load hook on the primary boom being up to 29 meters and up to 37 meters when the extender is used. Load moment is up to 150 t/m. Boom length is 8.5…28.5 m.

The support contour has two fixed positions depending on the site capabilities:

• Fully extended supports to the dimension of 6.8 m;
• Intermediate fixed position to the dimension of 5.4 m;

Today construction industry in Russia and other countries undergoes a dynamic development, therefore experts of the Yurgin machine-building plant forecast a high demand on the new crane on KrAZ chassis.
