PROGRESSIVE EQUIPMENT MEANS 100% QUALITY

Increasing the output of KrAZ vehicles, HC "AvtoKrAZ" intensively modernizes production by implementing progressive technologies and high-performance equipment in its manufacturing process.

Thus, the new technologies area of HC "AvtoKrAZ" press-room is replenished by new high-performance equipment - pipe-bending machine with the numerical program control manufactured by SOCO company (Taiwan).

The equipment is intended for bending round and square pipes of 60, 89, 108 and 120 mm diameter. The pipe-bending press put into operation on HC "AvtoKrAZ" is the only one press in Ukraine for bending pipes of big diameter.

Before purchasing this equipment the technological process of pipes production involved their welding from several parts with the help of reducers.

The advantages of the new equipment are obvious: high quality bending, high productivity. The process is characterized by high accuracy; there are no corrugations in the places of bending due to bending and sliding die blocks and special section of mandrel.

Commissioning of the new equipment allowed considerable reduction of metal consumption; when bending pipes on the new equipment, you practically do not need the technological allowances for metal cutting.

The machine can bend pipes up to 5 m long and perform nearly 15 bends. The maximum bending angle is 1800, maximum radius - 304 mm. Each radius has its own die block.

All the operations are fulfilled automatically: the program is worked out, the corresponding parameters are assigned, the operator installs a pipe and observes the operation fulfillment, if it is necessary he assigns tasks for each operation.

The pipes bent on new pipe-bending press are used while manufacturing parts: of 60 mm diameter - for radiators, 89 mm - for engines, 108 and 120 mm - for exhaust systems.

According to the program of technical rearmament for 2008, HC "AvtoKrAZ" is expected to invest nearly 20 mln. USD in the new technologies.
