Stakhanov Wagon Works has launched a new model of cement-carrier hopper

JSC "Stakhanov Wagon Works" (SWW) which forms a part of Holding Company "AvtoKrAZ" has designed a new model of 19-969 cement-carrier hopper. The new product was certified by the Federal railroad transport certification register.

The new cement-carrier hopper is intended for transportation of cement and other granular and powder construction materials from manufacturing enterprises to consumer enterprises on railroads with the track 1520 mm wide.

The design of the new generation hopper consists of all-metal welded body with bins, dump doors closing mechanisms, running gears, brake, hooking device and other equipment.

The distinctive feature of the presented model is volume increase which allows to load the hopper with all kinds of cement in one scoop, without additional loading. The size and strength of the body enable to use this cement carrier on bogies with 25-ton load on the axle. The low mass of containers for the cement carrier of such volume is obtained due to the usage of high-strength materials and detailed strength calculation of the bearing structure with implementation of finite element analysis methods.

The hopper is loaded through four loading hatches placed on the car roof which give the possibility of loading with the help of standard stationary loading devices. The loading hatches of the new model cement carrier have rubber gasket on covers with ensures reliable cement protection from precipitations and cargo safety during long-distance transportations. The loading hatches are also equipped with interlocking mechanism which provides centralized sealing together with unloading hatches in the middle part of the car.

For elimination of cement adhering and for providing its complete unloading, angles of the body and bins have increased radiuses. Besides, four unloading hatches of the new cement carrier are of increased size - 500x700 mm; it will significantly decrease time for unloading of the raw materials being transported.

The conceptually new feature of the model 19-969 cement-carrier hopper is bleeder valve which interlocks the unloading hatches opening drive and enables to equalize air pressure inside of the body with the outer pressure, excluding the possibility of roof deformation in the process of unloading. For convenience of the hopper operation, valve opening handle matched with sealing device is situated between the unloading mechanism helms.

According to the designers decisions all the bearing elements of the cement carrier are manufactured of low-alloyed steel 09Г2C, the bearing elements of the car frame - of steel 10ХНДП.

In order to increase safety of traffic, according to the requirements for the perspective cars, the new cement carrier is outfitted with separated bogie brake system.

Stakhanov Wagon Works receives official enquiries from large companies which manufacture and transport cement and which are ready to purchase the new cement carrier even today.

The final cost of the new car will be defined after negotiations with potential customers. Nowadays this model is competitive at the car-building market characterized, in experts' opinion, by high demand for the cement carrier hoppers.
