“AvtoKrAZ” – National Academy of Sciences: towards mutually beneficial cooperation

“AvtoKrAZ” has established cooperation with the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences. This alliance in which both parties are interested opens prospects for the Kremenchug automobile plant in terms of the KrAZ vehicles quality improvement through the implementation of new scientific technologies.

Meeting between Serguey Sazonov, “AvtoKrAZ” HC General Director, and B.E. Paton, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, L.M. Lobanov, Deputy Director of the Paton Electric Welding Institute and V.S. Romaniuk, Director of “Special Design-technology Bureau of the Electric Welding Institute”.

In the course of the meeting some matters have been discussed, among them were practical implementation of research and development projects related to welding process, notably, automation of welding processes and improvement of production methods in the frame-body production of the Kremenchug automobile plant.

The subject of establishment of national certified automotive test center based on “AvtoKrAZ” Holding Company facilities was considered as well.

In the course of the meeting the agreements have been reached and have been evolved plans on early fulfillment of tasks which will have a positive effect on plant products quality as well as on manufacturing expenses reduction.
