Technical upgrade continues at “AvtoKrAZ”

Following technical upgrade program for 2008 “AvtoKrAZ” Holding Company pursues technical upgrade by implementing new effective equipment. Thus, new technologies area of plant press room has been equipped with another modern machine – “Amada” LC 1212b IV NT laser cutting machine (Japan). Earlier the machines from this world-famous Japanese manufacturer had been already installed in the pant workshops. “Amada” laser cutting and bending machines proved to provide high quality of metal machining.

The new “Amada” LC 1212b IV NT laser cutting machine is intended to cut blanks and parts of various forms and dimensions within the accuracy of 0,1 mm from steel sheet with a maximum thickness of 12 mm and maximum weight of 220 kg. The laser cutting machines installed before cut blanks with a maximum dimension of 1550 mm and maximum mass of 330 kg.

The new machine provides solution to produce more than 1200 parts. This equipment is going to replace plenty of tooth-cutting and boring machines occupying a considerable floor space.

The implementation of new “Amada” will ensure not only considerable reduction of production preparation terms and expenditures, efficiency improvement, but also improvement in quality of manufactured parts.

The total amount of the sum spent for replacement of fixed assets by “AvtoKrAZ” Holding Company for the period of 9 months of 2008 is around 70 million UAH.
