“Swedbank” bankers are astonished by high production technologies of KrAZ

In order to get familiar with the production of the KrAZ heavy-duty trucks and to study new kinds of cooperation, on the 11th of March, “AvtoKrAZ” Holding Company was visited by the representatives of the Ukrainian branch bank of “Swedbank” and Johan van Shoting and Mets Malmstrem, the vice-presidents of leading bank in Stockholm (Sweden).

Swedbank is leading bank in Sweden and Baltic states. This financial institution numbers 215 branch banks in Ukraine. The bank’s shares are listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm in large cap segment. The history of Swedbank goes back to 1820, when it became the first saving bank in Sweden. This bank is known by the name Swedbank in the market of Sweden and by the name “Swetbank” – in the market of Ukraine.

In the course of the visit the bankers saw press, frame and body and assembly shops, visited training centre and got familiar with new technologies implemented at the plant. The visitors had an opportunity to appreciate the possibilities of the KrAZ trucks on the only in Ukraine proving ground.

Mets Malmstrem expressed a high opinion of the technological level and the products of “AvtoKrAZ” HC. In particular he said: «I visited a lot of enterprises, including those manufacturing heavy-duty trucks, in particular in Sweden, this is Scania, but what I saw today it’s great, your plant is really the best.

I was agreeably surprised and astonished by the high-level technologies applied at the plant and by the competence to keep such a large plant in perfect order.

And your truck, as you call it 6x6, made a great impression on me with its equalizing bars and capacity to overcome all of the obstacles of the proving ground with marvelous facility. I applauded sincerely your test-driver who showed to the full extent possibilities of this all-terrain truck when going over bumps, and the flight of the truck down from springboard is very exciting show.

The crisis will pass soon, I am sure that in 2010 global economy will rise again. Development production of high quality trucks, being in progress, this is the key point that will help you to resist any crisis.In conclusion, press conference with the participation of the plant and project managers and rally participants was held. In the course of the press conference the results of the test runs were summed up and all those present could watch a short film about the KrAZ truck which was made when the truck was following the route Kremenchug-Lisbon-Kremenchug.
