Anti-crisis KrAZ dump truck

Among the new products being the upgraded version of the production vehicles the design engineers of the Kremenchug Automobile Plant have developed a vehicle for low-budget consumers. The anti-crisis version of the most popular among the buyers dump truck model KrAZ-65055-054-02 – KrAZ-65055-038 dump truck – has preserved all the qualities of its serial like, but due to design optimization is much lower in cost.

The “budget” dump truck KrAZ-65055-038-02 (6x4) has 16.4 tons payload, is equipped with 8-cylinders engine YAMZ-238DE2 (Euro-2) of 330 h.p. capacity and single-disc clutch YAMZ-183 with eight-range transmission YAMZ-2381.

The list of changes is extensive. Their essence is design simplification and rationalization. For example, some engineering solutions enabled to simplify the air induction system, vehicle transmission, dump equipment. The curb weight reduced by 500 kg, consequently, payload increased by this very figure.

Decorative elements were removed from the cabin interior.

To reduce the price the automobile plant technologists reviewed processing chains of manufacture and assembly of parts and vehicle on the whole.

KrAZ-65055-038 vehicle is 50 thousand hrn cheaper that its serial analogue.
