Holding Company “AvtoKrAZ” organizes its own foundry

The main enterprise of “AvtoKrAZ” Holding Company – the Kremenchug Automobile Plant alongside with aggregate, assembly and tool production has organized its own foundry.

The foundry is comprised of the steel foundry with capacity of 15 000 tons steel casting per year, of the sites for non-ferrous castings and investment casting with 300 tons and 500 tons capacity per year accordingly.

Up to the present moment the foundry has been specializing in manufacture of steel castings such as support, balancing lever, hub, case, bracket, cover etc., aluminium and zinc alloys for automobile industry. Currently the enterprise is deeply involved in preproduction and mastering of small car casting production, such as worm sector, casts, strengthening covers, brake struts, wedges, brake beam ends, bracket, brake beam packing, bracket, dead position holder intended for wagon and car-repair works.

Many years’ experience in the foundry based on well-proven technology and high proficiency of experts enable to manufacture high quality castings with minimum allowance on their further mechanical treatment.

The production is certified against the international quality standard ISO 9001:2000. To control the quality of the products manufactured in the foundry the produced metal chemical composition is subjected to quick analysis, castings undergo mechanical testing; heat treatment quality, dimensional accuracy, molding and rod materials capabilities are controlled.

The enterprise foundry capacity enables to manufacture castings not only for one’s own needs, but also to complete orders on production of castings with up to 1000 kg weight, of nonstandard products for general-use, ironwork (park benches, lanterns, garbage can),manholes, drain-water inlets etc.
