New operation manual of KrAZ vehicles

Starting from October 2009 all customer-shipped KrAZ vehicles are completed with a new Operation Manual.

Unlike previous publications of the Operation Manual based on the detailed description of vehicle different systems and units design and general information on maintenance, the new manual rests on another approach – free from excessive details, only information about the most important things necessary for a driver or a mechanic at vehicle operation.

Despite the reduction of size (from 250 to 170 pages) the manual has not become less informative. For better visualization and quick user navigation the manual contains photos and layouts of units and components instead of drawings present in the older version. A comprehensible and detailed account of information on all types of maintenance and minor repair is given. A separate paragraph is dedicated to vehicle lubrication including the lubrication points scheme and the tribochemical chart (a chart which indicates operating fluids applied in the vehicle with reference to units, trade marks and frequency of replacement). A particular attention is given to warranty obligations of the manufacturing plant and consumer complaint procedure.

The new Operation Manual has a more comfortable for user landscape format, a coloured cover where contact details of HC “AvtoKrAZ” Trade House, guarantee and service departments are given. It meets all modern requirements to technical documentation; it is based on experience of leading world manufacturers of the automotive equipment.
