AvtoKrAZ takes part in AutoPROm.UA-2009

On 27th of October Holding company “AvtoKrAZ” took part in the II International conference on development of the automobile industry of Ukraine AutoPROm.ua. Leading top-managers of manufacturing companies, analysts and political leaders discussed the ways of the motor industry recovery from crisis.

Political stability and vigorous support of a domestic auto maker in the judgment of the majority of the participants are the basic preconditions of the market revival. “Obstructive” duties on import production and reestablishment of the automobile lending were referred to as not the least of the factors of the domestic automobile production protection.

Within the framework of the conference AutoPROm.ua-2009 an expert of the international automobile market, a consultant of the world leading companies executives, among which are EBRD, Citibank, Nissan, Renault, Mr. Grem Mekston carried an open dialogue with top-managers of the leading companies of Ukraine and with distributors of well-known automobile trade marks. The dialogue touched upon the issues of the strategy of the Ukrainian dealers’ networks development and operation, of production localization and the economic crisis surmounting experience of the world automobile industry leaders – the Chinese, the Korean and the European ones. In Mr. Mekston’s opinion Ukraine has a potential to develop its automobile sector which is, unfortunately, not fulfilled. He also observed that the Ukrainian motor industry needed creation of the united national development program with a clear definition of the industry further development course.

Conclusions of the AutoPROm.ua-2009 participants are quite obvious – the country requires a powerful automobile industry which under present conditions can be established only with the active support of the state.
