“GVardiya-500”: AvtoKrAZ among the three leaders of the industry

According to the results of the All-Ukrainian rating program “GVardiya. 500 richest companies of Ukraine” Holding Company “AvtoKrAZ” was the 85th in the general rating of the most profitable companies of Ukraine.

According to the results of the financial activity in 2008 HC “AvtoKrAZ” is one of the three leaders among the best automakers of Ukraine; Poltava Auto Aggregate Plant – one of the Holding company enterprises – occupies the tenth position.

The rating was based upon the key financial results of the company activity: indices of net income growth from products sale and value of net profit growth, assets, return on sales and assets.

The rating experts observed that despite the crisis beginning, financial results of the Ukrainian enterprises in 2008 showed the time delay pattern of the past successful years. Results of successful first-half year overlapped negative indices of the fourth quarter.

An average net income of 500 companies comprised 2 399.5 mln hrn, their average net profit – about 64.2 mln hrn. All in all 270 participants (or 54%) had had a profitable year; the rest 46% had ended 2008 at a loss.

According to 2008-year results the total income of 500 biggest companies of Ukraine amounted to 126% GDP-2008.
