KrAZ-5233BE "Spetsnaz" (special weapon attack team truck) vindicated the honor of Ukraine at the IDEX-2011 Exhibition

AvtoKrAZ Holding Company took part in the IDEX-2011 10th Anniversary International Defense Exhibition and Conference held in Abu Dhabi in February 20-24. Along with other manufacturers and suppliers from Ukraine, among them TOPAZ State Company, Kyiv Automatic Plant named G.Petrovsky, AEROTECHNIKA-MLT Research and Development Enterprise, ISKRA Research and Development Complex, LUCH Kyiv State Design Bureau, Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau and others, AvtoKrAZ Holding Company demonstrated a potential of the national military-industrial complex.

AvtoKrAZ presented its two-axle all-terrain vehicle KrAZ-5233BE "Spetsnaz" with the 4x4 wheel arrangement on the national exposition arranged by the UKRSPECEXPORT State Company.

KrAZ-5233BE "Spetsnaz" is a multipurpose all-wheel drive truck of high cross-country ability intended for all-surface transportation of army staff, special weapons attack teams and UNO piece-keeping forces as well as of various equipment, artillery systems of up to 152 mm in caliber and towing of various trailers.

KrAZ-5233BE efficiently work in the extreme natural, climate and road conditions on all continents standing the temperatures from -500? up to +600? at an altitude of up to 5 000 m above sea level.

The truck is equipped with a centralized tire inflation system ensuring high cross-country ability on low-load-bearing capacity soils, as well as with a winch for self-recovery and recovery of various vehicles with a pulling force up to 12 t.

On customer's request the truck can be manufactured both in left-hand and right-hand steering versions. Basic units and aggregates can be covered with local armor protection.

KrAZ-5233BE "Spetsnaz" vindicated the honor of Ukraine demonstrating its technical abilities on the 10 hectares obstacle sandy course when negotiated complex test constructions at the exhibition testing area. KrAZ was the only truck challenged to show its abilities on the obstacles line. Rest of exhibits were standing static on companies' stands, choosing this very way of showing their advantages. Reconstructed and narrowed testing ground could not allow performing the 180-degree turn even to the light-duty vehicles. Despite of that KrAZ managed to demonstrate its abilities and tactic and dynamic characteristics even during the induced pauses at 180-degrees turning. Amazing work of Mr.V.Ukhnal, driver of the AvtoKrAZ, driven the KrAZ truck on the course and through all the obstacles was received a great ovation and cheers of the exhibition visitors. KrAZ had no rival in crossing of water obstacles and negotiating of sandy pits. It negotiated all the testing obstacles easily.

The IDEX-2011 Exhibition proved KrAZ to be of big demand at the world armament market. These trucks are known as ragged, reliable and maintainable vehicles.

In the course of negotiations there were several agreements achieved for supply of all-wheel drive KrAZ vehicles to the countries of Africa and Middle East as base for various structures mounting.
