KrAZ Trucks Go to Work in Africa

09 August, 2018

The 6х6 KrAZ-63221 chassis cabs built under foreign trade contract went to customer to a country of North Africa.  New contractor of this country placed an order for supply of a batch of popular AWD chassis cabs as a base for installation of superstructures for civilian use.  Earlier various military vehicles KrAZ were supplied regularly to this country.

As the customer said to the press service when the vehicles were leaving the company’s territory these vehicles would be used for servicing power lines and carrying repair teams.

- I have opted for KrAZ trucks because of their simple design and bigger payload capacity. I used to purchase ZiL trucks that could carry 6 tonnes at most, but I need payload capacity of 13 tonnes and more. In our country everyone knows that Ukrainian company “KrAZ” is a strong firm, its trucks will serve long years and work in any situations. We don’t like software and electronic systems in vehicles, we like classic vehicles with mechanical components our drivers will be able to drive and mechanics to maintain easily. We need an affordable vehicle with long service life, big payload capacity and this is KrAZ. The superstructure will be mounted in a local factory with experience of installation on the KrAZ chassis. There are also skilled technicians to train drivers to drive and maintain new vehicles.

The KrAZ-63221 chassis cabs shipped to the customer differ from mass-produced vehicles by longer wheelbase and four-door cab.
