Kremenchug Automobile Plant Honors its Veterans

February 10 KrAZ honored its veterans, those who were born in January-February. An event has taken place in the recently opened Museum of “AutoKrAZ” History, where 80 90 years old veterans of labor of Kremenchug Automobile Plant have been greeted and awarded presents after trip to the museum.

These meetings are regularly held at KrAZ due to joint efforts of the Council of Veterans and plant management. Today the organization of veterans of Kremenchug Automobile Plant is the most numerous among other industrial companies of Kremenchug. It numbers about 5 000 persons. Annually over 300 former employees of the automobile plant get material aid, presents, food packages on occasion of anniversaries, Victory Day, International Women’s Day on 8th of March. 

 

Except solemn congratulations at the plant and at home for veterans who can move only with difficulty, joint trips to the plant for groups of veterans of separate departments and trips to memorial sites are arranged.  Only in 2015 over 500 employees who gave half of their lives to the automobile plant visited their plant, imaged youth, workaday life, victories and achievements.  

The proverb says: «There is no future without past “. Young workers come up to take place of elderly laborers of “KrAZ”. Today’s age of 28 percent of the company’s workers is below 34 years. The average age of KrAZ workers is 45 years. Young workers of KrAZ adopt life values and traditions of their predecessors, veterans of the automobile plant, this is why the company is developing and progressing. KrAZ is proud not only with its trucks but also with its workers.
